Bill W. and Dr. Bob Evanston Theatre reviews
Magical Nicks
"Bill W. and Dr. Bob and her band gave an impeccable performance, part loving and energetic, part sad and funny, part rock and roll elegy. She, her singers, and the band were superb, with not a note or beat out of place. Art and poetry set to music. My seats were on the floor. We stood in ridiculous Maine weather for close to two hours - it rained, it stopped, it got cold, it drizzled, it stopped, it rained, it stopped, but I don't think anyone cared. We were next to people who drove over two hours for the show; judging from the trail of taillights going home, most of the people who live where I live were at the show, too. The sound was perfection, and beautifully mixed. The overall production design and the LED-screened videos were gorgeous additions that enhanced the experience. Techies should see the show just for that if they aren't Nicks fans. Special shout out to the designers of the show. But go see her because she is magic. Just get her different shoes so we don't have to worry about her breaking her neck on stage."
